Learn about: Toronto

Toronto, The capital of the province of Ontario, is an important city of Canada located along the northwest shore of Lake Ontario. It is a dynamic metropolis with a tall skyscraper center, all surpassed by the iconic CN Tower. Toronto also has many green areas, from the neat oval of Queen's Park to the 400-acre High Park and its trails, sports facilities and zoo.

On Queen Street West there is a wide variety of fine restaurants, fashion stores and galleries. The cultural institutions of the center change from the Ontario Art Gallery and the Royal Ontario Museum to the Hockey Hall of Fame and Bell Lightbox, the headquarters of the Toronto International Film Festival. Nearby is the Chinatown and the core of the Eaton Center retail, along with the stalls and cafes of the historic Kensington market.

To the east is the Distillery District, a 19th-century industrial zone with art galleries and fashion shops, and the coastal area, popular for walks and cycling, with ferries that cross the bucolic Toronto Islands.
